One hundred lots of American Art Pottery are scheduled to cross the auction block on February 28, 2009 as part of the inaugural Super Auction. Included will be examples of Roseville, Rookwood, Weller, Fulper and others. The lots come from collectors and dealers from the Midwest and South.Greg Belhorn of Belhorn Auction Services, LLC is conducting the pottery session. Belhorn is the secretary of the American Art Pottery Association and the official auctioneer for their year annual convention as well as the auctioneer for the Pottery Lovers Reunion held each July in Zanesville, Ohio.
“The Super Auction will showcase the service we offer to both buyers and sellers,” Belhorn said recently. “For sellers we offer full color cataloging of all lots, full insurance and careful handling and prompt settlement. For buyers we offer detailed color photographs and complete descriptions with condition reports.”Belhorn concluded, “We are pleased to be part of this first Super Auction and look forward to seeing our Michigan customers and meeting new buyers for the first time.”
