Ann Arbor, MI – Building on the success of the 2009 Super Auctions, the first Super Auction of 2010 will be held on February 27, 2010 at the Washtenaw Farm Council Grounds, 5055 Ann Arbor-Saline Road, Ann Arbor, Michigan. Ten auction companies and over 15 auctioneers from Indiana, Ohio, Michigan and Missouri will gather together for an exposition of American Auctioneering. The event starts promptly at 10:00 AM EST and there will be three auction rings running for the entire auction. The auction will last approximately five hours with over 1400 lots up for bid.
Collections from across the Midwest and South are again scheduled to cross the block. Selections of antiques, lighting, sport cards, farm toys, stamps, pottery, glass, coins, collectibles, and firearms will be available. Full details and auction inventories are posted now at thesuperauction.net and will be continuously updated as the event nears. Buyers and auction enthusiasts are able to follow the process of The Super Auction on its blog at thesuperauction.blogspot.com/
“The two Super Auctions in 2009 demonstrated the fun and excitement that occurs when you have a dozen auctioneers in one place all doing what they do best,” said David Helmer, The Super Auction manager. “We are excited that as a kick off for this year we will welcome in National Auctioneers Association Board of Director Robert Mayo from Kansas City Missouri. Robert is a good friend and champion bid caller and will bring his style and skill to the event.”
“The Super Auction will now be a regular event that the auction community can depend on as a consistent venue to buy and sell,” noted Peter Gehres, The Super Auction assistant manager. “The first two Super Auctions saw bidders from ten states and we expect that to increase that in 2010. All the auctioneers involved are currently accepting quality consignments for their sessions in February and for the future.”
