The Super Auction brought auctioneers and buyers from the across the Midwest together for an unique auction event on February 28, 2009 at the Washtenaw Farm Council Grounds in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Over 360 bidders from seven states made the first Super Auction an event to remember. The event started promptly at 10:00 AM and the last item crossed the block a few minutes before 3:00 PM. The event featured collections from across the Midwest and South and had something for nearly every collector and enthusiast. In the five hours of fast and furious selling nearly 1400 lots of pottery, antiques, advertising, ephemera, firearms, sports cards, sterling silver, coins, clocks and collectables of all shapes and sizes crossed the auction block.
“We wanted to have both quality and quantity and the auctioneers of The Super Auction delivered,” stated David Helmer of Braun and Helmer Auction Service and The Super Auction manager. “This event was true collaboration and a team effort in every sense. Each auction company brought their skills and talents to the table and The Super Auction exceed expectations. “
Plans are already underway for the second Super Auction in the Fall of 2009. The location will be the same, as will the auction companies represented. If you are interested in consigning to the next Super Auction please contact one of the auction companies.
If you missed the first Super Auction this site will feature a selection of prices realized in the coming months. Be sure to check back often and visit thesuperauction.net for full details of the second Super Auction.
