The Super Auction 2 is in the books

The Super Auction 2 is in the books. It was a great time of fellowship and commerce. We had many of the original auctioneers from The Super Auction 1 as well as new faces from new places.

The Super Auction is here!

The Super Auction is this Saturday, August 22, 2009 at 9:30 AM. We will return to the Washtenaw Farm Council Grounds in Ann Arbor, Michigan for an unquie event. We are already planning The Super Auction 3 for late Febuary 2010. See you Saturday.

Fiesta & Watt Session presents unique opportunity for collectors and dealers


A large collection of Fiesta dinnerware and Watt Pottery will be offered at the second Super Auction on August 22, 2009 held at the Washtenaw Farm Council Grounds in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Original (from the factory) cases of Fiesta manufactured by Homer Laughlin will cross the block. Many of these cases are of retired or discontinued colors and all pieces are marked Fiesta. The session will also include many examples of Watt pottery including commemoratives. The session is being offered by Belhorn Auction Services, LLC of Columbus Ohio.

Unique Currency featured at the second Super Auction


Among the hundreds of antiques, collectables, pottery and coins crossing the block at The Super Auction a fine selection currency will be featured in the Coin and Currency session by Kraft Auction Service. The second Super Auction will be August 22, 2009 beginning at 9:30 AM at the Washtenaw Farm Council Grounds in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Examples of fractional currency includes 10, 15, 25 and 50 cent notes. Of interest includes a receipt for the purchase of fractional notes from the U.S. Treasury.

Christy Mathewson Card to sell at the second Super Auction


Christy Mathewson T 206 Black Cap with rare El Principe De Gales back will cross the auction block at the second Super Auction, August 22, 2009. Mathewson was a Hall of Fame baseball pitcher who was called the "Big Six" and played mainly for the New York Giants.

David Helmer of Braun and Helmer Auction Service said " It's great to have a T206 Mathewson in nice shape, but to have the De Gales back is unbelievable. The Sports Card and Memorbila session features other rare T 206 backs including Carolia Brights, Hindu, American Beauty and more."

Historic Colt 45 to cross the block at The Super Auction

A unique and historic Colt 45 handgun is scheduled to cross the auction block on August 22, 2009 at the second The Super Auction in Ann Arbor, Michigan. The serial number dates the gun to 1860. An full provenance will be provided to the lucky high bidder. The firearm is being offer by Dennis Beals, Auctioneer who is one of Michigan’s finest antique and collectable auctioneers and a founding member of The Super Auction.
